Chhattisgarh Panchayat Raj Act, 1993
Panchayat Raj is a favourite topic in state exams. The library explains the Act chapter by chapter in plain English: the Gram Sabha, the three tiers (Gram, Janpad and Zila Panchayat), elections and reservation, functions, finance and taxes, penalties and the special provisions for Scheduled Areas.
It connects directly to the Constitution: the 73rd Amendment added Part IX and the Eleventh Schedule. Read the Constitution notes alongside it.
Built for accuracy
State books often disagree with each other on small numbers and names. Where that happens, the notes flag it clearly so you know exactly what to double-check, instead of quietly choosing one version.
